Inlace Acrylesterâ„ by WoodTurningz The results you get from a finished Inlace Acrylesterâ„ blank far exceed any effort it requires to turn it. Inlace Acrylester semi-translucent material has a pearlescent quality that will give your finished products great depth when viewed in the light. To achieve that translucency, Acrylester is harder to turn due to its brittleness but the results are incredible. Steps you can take to avoid chipping and blow out are: * 1. Sharp tools of course. * 2. Round the edges of you turning blanks using a sander/grinder to avoid catching. * 3. Never start your cut from the end of the blank, Always from the center outward. * 4. We found that finishing with wet 12000 grit MicroMesh results in no need for coating.
